From October 6th to 8th, the annual GWO Conference took place in Madrid.
The event was mainly dedicated to summarizing the past period. On the first day, much attention was given to improving training methods, particularly in assessing learning progress.
The day concluded with an award ceremony across several categories. A special moment for us came when Maciej Tararski took the podium among the top GWO instructors of 2025. Congratulations, Maciek!
During the following day, participants focused on a new trend shaping the global energy sector.
Last year, the Global Solar Council (GSC) – a major player in the renewable energy market – joined forces with the Global Wind Organisation (GWO).
One of the reasons behind this merger was to adopt proven elements of GWO training programs to ensure safe working conditions for personnel employed at photovoltaic farms.
This also reflects the growing awareness among insurance companies of the high costs associated with post-accident treatment.
The adoption of GWO standards demonstrates the renewable energy industry’s recognition of the high level of workplace safety achieved through certified training.
During conversations with representatives from the GWO Training Department, we learned that Inter Marine Training became the first training center in the world to successfully complete the HV Operations training audit.
The next meeting is scheduled for 2026 in Paris. Au revoir!
