IM Training at the GWO Safety & Training Forum 2026 in Paris

This year’s GWO Safety & Training Forum in Paris was an opportunity to discuss how training for the wind industry is developing. IM Training was represented by Bartosz Bil, Head of Development, Training and Workforce Supply Dept., and Alfred Naskręt, Head of Training Department.

One important topic was the expansion of the GWO High Voltage Standard with new modules. Participants also discussed proposed changes to how trainees are assessed. The new approach aims to make it easier to assess consistently whether participants have achieved the intended learning outcomes and can apply their skills in practice.

The Forum also provided an opportunity to recognise the people who deliver GWO training every day. At the awards ceremony on the first day, GWO announced the winners of its regional instructor and training team awards. Congratulations to everyone recognised!

Taking part in these discussions helps us stay informed about the direction of change and share our experience with other training providers. The continued development of standards and skills plays an important role in preparing people for work in the wind industry.
