The training focuses on a practical review of fluid energy control principles:
- Revision of LOTO procedures: practical exercises in locking valves and hydraulic accumulators,
- Pressure management: a refresher on techniques for the safe release of stored energy (fluids and gases),
- Hazard analysis: discussion of the risks associated with high-pressure injection and how to avoid them,
- Update on standards: discussion of changes to GWO guidelines regarding the COHE module.
The participant is able to effectively identify and isolate pressurized energy sources within a wind turbine. They are fully prepared to correctly apply mechanical lockouts and warning tags in strict accordance with the LOTO scheme. Furthermore, they demonstrate excellent knowledge of current response procedures in the event of hydraulic system failures.
The certificate is valid for 24 months (2 years). To maintain certification, a refresher course must be completed within the last 2 months prior to the expiry date of the current certificate.
Information regarding the completed training will be recorded in the international GWO WINDA database. The digital record enables authorised employers to instantly verify your qualifications. For the participant, this means easy confirmation of competence worldwide without the need for paper documents.
