Summary of the 13th Offshore Wind – Logistics & Supplies Conference

The 13th edition of the International Offshore Wind – Logistics & Supplies Conference, organised by the Polish Chamber of Marine Wind Energy (PIMEW), was a great success. Inter Marine had the honour to be the main partner of this event, which took place on 23-24 October 2024 in Gdynia. The conference attracted over 500 industry experts, creating the largest forum for knowledge sharing and discussion on the offshore wind supply chain in the Baltic Sea.

The event addressed important topics such as logistics and sourcing strategies, the adaptation of Polish regulations to the development of the offshore sector, and the significance of a health and safety culture in the industry. Another crucial aspect was the issue of dialogue between investors and suppliers in support of sustainable development. In the evening, after the official proceedings, participants had the opportunity to continue discussions and make new contacts in a relaxed atmosphere.

The first day of the conference brought inspiring lectures and valuable panel discussions, during which participants had the opportunity to discuss the challenges of building a Polish supply chain for offshore projects. Meanwhile, the second day focused on the development of the domestic sector of suppliers and services for offshore projects, both in Poland and on international markets.

Participants at the event were able to take part in seven highly interesting thematic panels covering key aspects of offshore wind energy. Among the speakers was Alfred Naskręt from Inter Marine, who took part in the session ‘QHSE in offshore wind – developers and suppliers view’.

The Offshore Wind – Logistics & Supplies Conference once again proved to be a valuable event that supports offshore wind energy development, and Inter Marine was pleased to actively participate and contribute to this unique event.
