International laws, the STCW Convention, SOLAS, MARPOL and relevant codes are discussed during the training; the types of hazards on ships and preventing hazardous situations, the knowledge of ship signals and emergency plans; interdependencies between crew members on a ship, social responsibility, hazards, i.e., alcohol, drugs.

Duration

According to the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure and Development: Number of days: 2, Total: 20.5 hours, Lectures: 18 hours, Exercises: 2.5 hours

Scope of training and course completion

Certificates are issued by the maritime administration (the Maritime Authority). The certificate does not expire and does need to be updated.

The training ends with a credit:

Lectures – a test
Exercises – a demonstration of skills
