An indirect aim is to raise awareness among trainees of fire hazards in closed spaces. These classes enable the presentation of zones that occur during a fire and specific phenomena.
The flash-over chamber training simulator is probably the most characteristic equipment in a ‘firefighting’ training area. An internal fire and corresponding phenomena occur in the chamber. The features of a fire include real flames, real smoke, and real temperature. Classes in the chamber enable the presentation of zones occurring during such fires and characteristic phenomena.
During exercises, the chamber’s openings are opened and closed to increase or decrease air availability. This simulation enables trainees to watch and draw conclusions from the sequence and variation of fire spreading stages, their length and intensity.
