The training focuses on the practical aspects of firefighting. The programme includes a review of the principles of fire development (the fire quadrilateral), identification of fire hazards specific to turbines, and exercises in the use of fire extinguishers (powder, foam) and fire blankets. Participants also practise techniques for moving safely in smoke-filled rooms.
The participant is able to correctly assess a fire situation, select the appropriate extinguishing agent for the type of fuel, and safely carry out an evacuation in conditions of limited visibility. They have refreshed their habits regarding raising the alarm and working with a team during an incident.
The certificate is valid for 24 months (2 years). To maintain your certification, you must complete a refresher course within the last 2 months before the expiry date of your current certificate.
Information regarding the completed training will be recorded in the international GWO WINDA database. The digital record enables authorised employers to instantly verify your qualifications. For the participant, this means easy confirmation of competence worldwide without the need for paper documents.
