The training covers specific aspects of installing electrical systems in new turbines:
- Cable routing: Techniques for the safe laying, fixing and securing of cables inside the tower and nacelle,
- Connection management: Making high- and low-voltage connections and earthing,
- Electrical safety: Rules for working on installations during the construction phase, including installation-specific LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures,
- Documentation: Working with electrical diagrams and the manufacturer’s installation instructions (Work Instructions).
Able to safely install electrical components in accordance with instructions, correctly route large-gauge cables in the confined space of a tower, identify risks associated with electrical installations on a construction site, and verify the correctness of connections made prior to testing.
The certificate does not expire (it is valid indefinitely). GWO recognises that once acquired, the technical fundamentals remain valid unless standards change drastically.
Information regarding the completion of the training course will be recorded in the GWO WINDA international database. This digital record enables authorised employers to verify qualifications instantly. For participants, this means they can easily confirm their qualifications worldwide without the need for paper documents.
