The training prepares participants for work in ports, cargo terminals, industrial plants, and anywhere where loading, unloading and cargo handling operations are carried out using cranes, overhead cranes, grabs and other cargo-handling equipment.

The training programme for Hookman, Hatchman and Grab Operator includes, among others, the following topics:
- Technical Supervision
- Slings, auxiliary and cargo-handling equipment and their application
- General principles of loading and unloading land and sea transport means
- Types of cargo, their characteristic features and transport susceptibility
- Safe execution of cargo handling operations and communication signals
- General principles of safe work organisation and workflow for hookmen, hatchmen and grab operators

The classes are conducted by qualified lecturers/trainers with many years of experience.
After successfully passing the internal examination, the participant receives an unlimited-validity training completion certificate, issued on the basis of §18(2) of the Regulation of the Minister of National Education, authorising the holder to perform the duties of a hookman, hatchman and grab operator.
