The training focuses on the practical aspects of working with fasteners. The programme covers the different types of bolts, strength grades, the importance of lubrication and, above all, the operation of specialist equipment. Participants practice using torque wrenches (manual and electric), hydraulic wrenches (torque/tension), and bolt tensioners, while also learning multi-stage tightening procedures.
The participant is able to select the appropriate tool for a specific joint, correctly set the tightening parameters (torque/preload), perform safe high-pressure hydraulic operations, and carry out a quality inspection of the completed joint.
The certificate does not expire (it is valid indefinitely). GWO recognises that once acquired, the technical fundamentals remain valid unless standards change drastically.
Information about the completed training will be recorded in the international GWO WINDA database. The digital record enables authorised employers to instantly verify the holder’s qualifications. For the participant, this means easy confirmation of competence worldwide without the need for paper documents.
