The training covers theory and intensive practical exercises in cable managment:
- Operation planning: preparation of the cable route, risk assessment and selection of appropriate tools,
- Pulling techniques: operating winches, cable pulleys and cable slings,
- Work safety: ergonomics when working with heavy loads, team communication and avoiding pinch points,
- Protection of property: ensuring the minimum cable bending radius and avoiding damage to insulation during installation.
The participant is able to accurately identify key hazards specific to cable pulling operations. They are fully prepared to correctly use mechanical equipment that supports this process and to ensure the full integrity of high-voltage (HV) cables by strictly adhering to the manufacturer’s technical guidelines. Furthermore, they possess the competencies necessary for effective teamwork during complex installation operations in confined spaces.
The certificate does not expire (it is valid indefinitely). GWO recognises that once acquired, technical fundamentals remain valid unless standards change drastically.
Information regarding the completed training will be recorded in the international GWO WINDA database. The digital record enables authorised employers to instantly verify the holder’s qualifications. For the participant, this means easy confirmation of competence worldwide without the need for paper documents.
