Operation of Electrical Networks and Equipment – SEP Group 1
The aim of the course is to prepare participants for the safe operation, handling, and supervision of electrical networks and equipment. Participants will learn both the theoretical foundations and practical aspects of work in Operation and Supervision in accordance with applicable regulations and safety standards.
The SEP Group 1 training is intended for:
- Electricians and power technicians
- Maintenance personnel in industrial plants
- Persons responsible for supervising electrical installations
- Installers, service technicians, and operators of electrical equipment
- Individuals seeking to renew or obtain new SEP Group 1 qualifications
Training Scope:
- Power-generating devices connected to the national power grid, regardless of rated voltage
- Electrical devices, installations, and power networks with rated voltage not exceeding 1 kV
- Devices, installations, and networks with rated voltage above 1 kV
- Power generator sets with capacity above 50 kW
- Electrothermal devices
- Electrolysis devices
- Street lighting electrical networks
- Electric traction networks
- Electrical equipment designed for use in explosive atmospheres
- Control and measuring instruments as well as automatic regulation, control, and protection devices and installations
Model Training Program Includes, Among Others, the Following Topics:
- Regulations, standards, and other legal acts related to electrical power equipment
- General principles of operation of electrical networks, installations, and devices with rated voltage up to 1 kV
- Organization of safe work during the operation of electrical installations
- Principles of operation of drive installations and equipment
- Technical measures for protection against electric shock in electrical networks, devices, and installations
- Control and measuring instruments as well as automatic regulation, control, and protection devices and installations
- Principles and conditions for performing inspection and measurement works
Assessment:
The training concludes with a state examination before an authorized Examination Commission of the Polish Society of Power Engineers in Gdańsk. After passing the examination, participants receive appropriate certificates in the requested scope, valid for 5 years.
Classes are conducted by qualified lecturers/trainers with many years of experience.
The fee for one E (Operation) exam or one D (Supervision) exam is obligatorily 10% of the minimum wage – in 2026 this amounts to PLN 480.60.
The Operation (E) and Supervision (D) exam in Group 1 consists of two exams – two separate examination fees.
