Training takes place at the Training Centre, 4 days
Course description:
A 4-day training course designed for seafarers employed by crewing companies, which includes the following elements – each accompanied by an extensive practical component:
- Handling a spill of hazardous materials on a container ship,
construction and use of a decontamination chamber 2h exercise yard - Boat transfer 2h
- Operation and use of AED 1h
- Working at height and dropping objects 4h
- Preparation for helicopter landing ( helideck formation) 1h
- Supervising BA 2h
- Confined Space Entry – 4h + Rescue – 4h
- Flooding Alarm – 2 h
- Gas Firefighting – 2 h
- Electric Vehicle Firefighting (demonstration only, dedicated 3 daycourse on offer shortly) 2h
- Electric Shock – 2h
- Room / cabin firefighting – 2H
- LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) 2h
