Duration of the training:
Course is held at the Training Center 4hours (half day).
Prerequisites:
Registration in the WINDA database lifta.globalwindsafety.org and obtain a WINDA ID (it is possible to register during the training).

Course Objective:
The purpose of this module is to provide participants with the opportunity, through theoretical and practical training, to:
- identify signs and symptoms of vital hazards,
- provide safe and effective first aid in a wind turbine environment to save lives and prevent deterioration of the victim’s condition until handover to specialists.
Results upon completion of training:
Upon completion of this CW first aid module, participants will be able to:
- independently recognize, assess and prioritize basic first aid needs and provide necessary life-saving pre-medical assistance until the injured person can be transferred to specialists for further treatment,
- recognize one’s own capabilities and limitations as a first aid rescuer and organize the evacuation of the injured person.
Conditions for refresher training:
The validity of the certificate is 24 months. Certificates and training records must be renewed before the expiration of the validity period. Refreshing the certificate is done with the First Aid Refresher course.
If the validity of the certificate has expired, the participant must attend a full First Aid training course to obtain new documentation.
Key message: the GWO allows the module to be refreshed three months before its expiration date, and the new one becomes active on the day the previous one expired.
